Course Narrative
This class fulfill MLO 4 because it talks about a second culture. In JANAN 314 we were able to learned about Japanese culture. Also, we were able to analyze photos, videos, and other visuals. It was so interesting for me to take a second culture class because I learned about it. In addition, it is important to learn about other country for if some day a person wants to visit that place, that person will have an idea of how it looks like. In this class we read two books which are A Geek In Japan and the other one is Visual Methodologies. I learned things about Japan through all the assignments that we did. First at all, we have to investigate about the topic that was interesting for us.I did two presentations. One presentation was about Ramen Food. It is about instant soup. For example a Maruchan which is Ramen Noodle Soup. The other presentation I did was about Bento Box Arrangement. It was about different animated people that is made with food. For example, I chose a bento box of Santa Claus which is made of rice, eggs and some vegetables. I gained more knowledge and how to find credible sources through the investigation that I did for my presentations and it really helped me. I wish to develop further in finding sources because is difficult for me to find them. I think this course is not connected with other courses. I intend to further explore this learning by reading and investigating more about Japanese culture because it is a beautiful place to go visit.
