Course Narrative
In SPAN 321 we studied about different literary movements. We saw Middle Ages and time of the Catholic Kings the defeat of the Roman Empire at the end of the V century and unification of Spain under the Catholic Monarchs at the end of the fifteenth century. We also studied Principles of Modernity or Golden Age. The Golden Age is the period of intense artistic and literary activity that begins at the end of the 15th century. The eighteenth century: The Enlightenment which was about produced new philosophical, political and social ideas that will lead to a greater Europeanization of Spanish culture. We study other literary movements too. A thing that I liked was to use distinct objects to remember the literary movements. What it really loved to do it was to work in group activities because it was easier for me to understand better how to analyze a work. I did a analysis of a dramatic comedy written by Leandro Fernandez. The work was in Spanish. I gained how to analyze works such as poetry, stories, dramatic comedies, etc. Also, I gained information about the literary movements. I wish to develop further to analyze more poetry and dramatic comedy as well. This course is connected with Span 304 and SPAN 426 because both classes talk about literature. Obviously, we will be able to analyze some works. I intend to explore this experience by reading more works and try to analyze them. Basically, I will practice on how to analyze a work.
