This class meets MLO 2 because is about grammar and it is linguistics
This class fulfill MLO 2 because it talks about linguistics. In this course we were be able to learn about translation. First at all, we were able to translate from Spanish to English. Also, we could translate from English to Spanish. It is very difficult to translate for is not an easy thing. However, we were trying our best. Next, we were able to know about the techniques of translation. For example, there is literal translation which means when the text is translated word by word. Another example is generalization which means is the same idea in terms. Also, there is expansion translation because a person is trying to say the same idea, but in different way. Other type of translation is modulation is when we want to express a phrase. Equivalence traduction is when you want to have an equilibrium in two languages. For example, if somebody wants to translate something from English to Spanish that person will not translate word by word. In addition, we were able to see some translation forms which cause us problems when we translate. Pragmatic translation, Intercultural translation, Interlingual translation problems, Text Specific translation problems, Linguistic problems, Text type problems, Cultural problems Stylistic problem, Register problems, and Historical temporal problems. All of these traductions problems cause us a head pain. I loved this class although it is really hard, but I learned the methods of translation and I was able to get more knowledge. Also, for me is really difficult to make a traduction for I do not know English language well.
