Course Narrative
This class fulfill MLO 3 because it is about literature. In the course SPAN 304 we read stories, poetry, etc. In addition, we read stories about Luisa Valenzuela, Julio Cortazar, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, etc. We also studied poetry of Santa Teresa de Jesus, Gabriela Mistral, Nancy Morejon, etc. Obviously, the assignments were in Spanish. Not only we learned about the readings, but also we learn about literary movements. Some classmates and I made a group presentation about a literary movement which was Postmodernism and its historical context. Honestly, I demonstrate my knowledge through that oral presentation that was about feminist poetry. It was so helpful to review our class notes through our presentation because it really helped my classmates and I for the our last test from this class. This course will help me to understand more about literature. In addition, I will be able to analyze poetry more for I learned in this class about to analyze it. Also, I will be able to identify rhetorical figures. I want to develop the rhetorical figures for there are a lot and sometimes I feel confused, but I will practice more with the to understand it better. This class is connected with classes Span 321 and Class SPAN426 because these courses talk about literature. So, in these classes you are able to analyze literary works. For example, we analyzed poetry and stories. I will further explore this learning experience by reading more and trying to analyzing more. Sometimes poetry is difficult to analyze for me, but if I really focus more on that I very sure that I will do it.
