Course Narrative
This class fulfill MLO 2 for it is part of linguistics. In this course we are able to practice a lot Spanish grammar. We were able to see the verb be, but obviously in Spanish. This ver in that language is “ser” or “estar” which “ser” is used to describe a characteristic of a person.. For instance, the girl is beautiful. We just described her like how she is. So, we cannot say the girl be beautiful. The verb “estar” in Spanish is when we say: the boy is in the park. Also we saw the theme of the imperfect and the preterite verbs. For example, I was going to the store when I saw a beautiful woman. Another example is the boy was jumping with his rope when he heard another boy crying. Not only we have seen these forms of verbs, but we also were able to see the subjunctive. We knew that to have a subjuntivo when there is an a principal sentence. In addition, we need to have the word “que” to obtaining the subjunctive. For instance, Ana suggested that Manuel goes to Mexico for vacation. We have to pay attention in Spanish sentences because is different than English. For example, in Spanish the adjective comes after the noun because in English the adjective is before the subject. It is really interesting to know about all the rules to recognized everything with facility. In reality, this was one of my favorites courses because I really like grammar and it is something that we can practice every day.
